...with application and prayer responses by me...
The hope which is laid up for you in heaven. Col. 1:5
For what reason do we now hope? Is it not for Christ Himself, who is the prized coveted possession of heaven and the universe?
If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. I Cor. 15:19
Indeed, shall our spirit not glow & rejoice with the hope of such?
We must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God. Acts 14:22
Shall there be no tribulation? trials? afflictions? So why think it strange if ye or thy brethren be the beneficiary of adversity or hardship
Whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple. Luke 14:27
Is there not a crass each shall bear by Sovereign design?
Must Jesus bear the cross alone,
And all the world go free?
No, there’s a cross for everyone,
And there’s a cross for me.
How happy are the saints above,
Who once went sorrowing here!
But now they taste unmingled love,
And joy without a tear.
The consecrated cross I’ll bear
Till death shall set me free;
And then go home my crown to wear,
For there’s a crown for me.
Upon the crystal pavement down
At Jesus’ pierced feet,
Joyful I’ll cast my golden crown
And His dear Name repeat.
O precious cross! O glorious crown!
O resurrection day!
When Christ the Lord from Heav’n comes down
And bears my soul away.
No man should be moved by these afflictions: for yourselves know that we are appointed thereunto. I Thess. 3:3
shall we resist the appointment whereto God hath willed where we shall meet him?
Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice. Phil. 4:4
Nevertheless Joy!
The God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. Rom. 15:13
What kind of God do we serve? what are some qualities of Him that Compel us to Him? Is He hot the God of Hope? a God who implants joy and peace? hope & power? all enablement by the Holy Ghost?
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. I Pet. 1:3
More qualities: abundant in mercy, lively in hope
Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory. I Pet. 1:8
O God, cause me to so transcend this present world and its evils that I may see Thee, eternal, my glory, joy and crown; implant that love into my fleshy heart that I may love Thee, see Thee, cherish Thee, as I ought; cause me to experience joy unspeakable and full of glory!
By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Rom. 5:2
Rejoice in HOPE! Hope of the glory...the glory of God
